Sad News: Gospel Singer Exodus’ Father Passes On

Sad news reaching Chano8 desk is that Gospel Singer Exodus real names George Lubega Timothy has lost his father. Exodus who grew up under very difficult conditions and spent most of his time on the streets came to the lime light in 2004 after releasing his hit single ‘Ganja man’.

Exodus who was born on June 8th 1984 in Gulu, however has story of growing up has been very sad especially after he lost his mother at a tender age. After his father remarried, his step mother mistreated him to extent of influencing his father to be against him too and even attempted suicide twice. However, he said in an interview with Chano8 that, he had forgiven all of them especially his father and moved on.

His father Suleiman Matovu whom he later welcomed back in his life, shockingly passed on today at his home in Kampala after a short illness. Our reliable sources said it is a heart related complication although Chano8 could not independently verify and will keep you posted as soon as details are obtained.

Exodus who spent most of his early childhood days on the streets of Kampala then got a lease of life after meeting Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre. His life changed after becoming born again and took music as a full time commitment. After his break through song ‘Ganja man’, he has since traveled in many places around the world and involved in many charity projects. .
