With an aim to boost AIDS awareness within Africa, Gnl Zamba, Lydia Jazmine, Big Trill, Ray Signature and Rwanda’s Jody Phibi joined hands to create a song titled ‘If it’s not on, It’s not safe.’
The song is meant to encourage people to have safe sex by using condoms, if its not on, its not safe. The campaign came after there is an increasing number of teenagers getting infected with the HIV virus.
In commemoration of World AIDS Day yesterday, the artists got a chance to sit down with NTV’s The Beat Host Douglas in order to further emphasize safe sex. Lydia Jazmine said that more campusers are more scared of getting pregnant than getting AIDS, but that shouldn’t be case, safety should come first.
GNL Zamba said, ‘am blessed to have created a song that has touched so many people’s lives.’ He further emphasized safety as we should be working towards an AIDS free generation. GNL also had words of encouragement for people living HIV/AIDS, ‘For my brother’s and sisters who are living positively with HIV remember to regularly take your medication, the future is still bright.’
