Sasha Vybz Joins African Stars In Mega Deal As Guinness Brand Influencers

Ugandan star video director Sasha Vybz signs with other stars like Swangz Avenue singer Azawi, media personality and actress Malaika Nyanzi, and comedian Uncle Mo as Guinness Brand Influencers.

The group started their work on Friday when they headlined at the launch of the Guinness ‘Black Shines Brightest’ Campaign in Uganda.

The celebrations are to mark Guinness’ long and rich history in Africa following its organic sales growth and trademark of 32% across the continent for the year ending 30th June 2021 and the celebrations are set to be held across key markets in Africa.

The campaign is a new Pan African movement celebrating the iconic black liquid enjoyed all over the continent for over a century.

It is inspired by the bold and unique black beer of Guinness stout and brings together passionate and creative individuals to celebrate the spirit of Guinness and its home across African markets.

On the continental scene, Sasha Vybz joins the likes of Ghanaian choreographer Incredible Zigi, Nigerian artist Fireboy, Nigerian designer Adebayo Oke-Lawal. Others are, Tanzanian singer, Nandy, Nigerians Kehinde Durojaye, and Prince Nelson Enwerem, a mover and shaker who is setting trends and leading the way in culture in Nigeria.

The campaign was launched with an energetic and colourful commercial directed by star director Meji Alabi famous for his work with a whole range of incredible artists from Beyoncé and Davido through to Tiwa Savage and Wizkid. It also included a performance by Azawi who also officially became the campaign face in Uganda.

It was a colorful launch of the campaign with performances on Friday.

There was a media take over that culminated in the Next Media Park being turned into a Bright House with colorful illumination and Azawi’s performance that was broadcast live to the entire country.

“This exciting new campaign will see Guinness at the beating heart of Ugandan culture by championing new talent and all those people making waves in our society”. Elizabeth Mutamuliza, Guinness Brand Manager, Uganda Breweries said.

Last year, Sasha Vybz was named among the 30 most influential people under 30 dubbed ‘Forbes Africa 30 Under 30’. Sasha Vybz made it to the prestigious Forbes Africa list of 30 young movers and shakers across the continent influencing different aspects of humanity who are under 30 years of age and continues to raise his portfolio on the entertainment scene.
