Talented journalist Sheila Nduhukire seems to be already settled in the Masaai land and ready to serve her new bosses to their expectations.
The good news is that the 28-year-old has already reported on duty in her new workplace and is really doing her usual magic anticipated to make statements to the TV audience in Kenya that where there is value for money in line with their subscriptions of their TV decoders.
Sheila had several memorable works while at NTV. Her courageous reporting of the 2016 general elections awed many viewers. Her feature reporting like under-age prostitution in refugee camps impressed Ugandans and on several occasions, she came out as a fearless and intelligent journalist.
When one leaves NTV, the most likely destination is NBS TV. Yes, there has been an ‘exodus’ of top journalists from NTV to NBS. At one point, it was safe to bet on who next NBS would ‘snatch’ from NTV. However, it was alleged that by sending Sheila to Nairobi, it was preventing NBS TV from approaching on her.
Prominent names like Solomon Serwanja, Rukh Shana Namuyimba, Sheila Tusiime Mugisha, Ernest Wisdom Kiyonga, Darren Kyeyune, MC Kats and most recent, Douglas Lwanga left Serena Hotel based NTV to the Kamwokya based NBS TV.
Sheila is a former Guild President at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. She later joined Nation Media Group as a journalist trainee before making her own mark in the field.
We wish her the best and easy settling AT NTV Kenya as life there seems more hard.
