Ugandan top gospel singer Exodus of the Igwe fame has come out of his self imposed music break and re-branded. The new look includes cutting of his two and a half year old dread locks. The fresh look which makes the versatile artiste look younger and fresh, is in line with his new projects which is expected to include an album.
The singer who already has a super selling album to his name is working on his second album under new management and team which includes SMS ONE, G.E.A.R Music Empire and Neutriq Town Records. He has now unleashed a new track and video off the new album expected to drop later on this year.
The new song titled ‘Party Leo’ was premiered today on UBC’s Horizon Vibes program with Calvin Kalule Peter Da Entertainer and features Kenya’s gospel superstar Rington.
The Party Leo video which was shot in Nairobi Kenya and directed by Enos Olik, is surely bound to take the airwaves by storm as it has all the attributes of a ‘quality video’ and features that magical Nigerian shoki dance and a unique colour blend.
The song which is a party feel-good dance tune is destined for greater heights and many music critics have already declared it a club banger.
“This song is a party song for celebrating life. There are many things that keep us pre-occupied in life and tend to celebrate the good things life has to offer. Surely there’s something great that God has done in our lives that needs to be celebrated” Exodus told Chano8 in an exclusive interview when asked to explain the story behind the song.
“I have to take the gospel to the clubs and spread the message of God to the people it is meant for he” told his fans watching UBC TV when Calvin asked him to explain the party them of the song.
He also explained the reason why he took a two year break form music citing a busy schedule with his Charity organisation that takes care of over 6,000 under privileged children in Nothern Uganda and the fact that he always strives for quality and takes his time to produce music.
Exodus real names George Labega Timothy later headed to Hana Mixed School off Masaka road at the Northern Bypass to also premiere the video on NTV where host MC Kats was broadcasting the Exposed program live. The students were having a modern day Prom get together for candidate classes and had organised a beautiful heavenly event with a Paris-all-white theme.
