Flavia Tumusiime is most definitely not a new face on our TV screen as we have literally seen her grow before our eyes as a bubbly child on ‘teens club’ and blossomed into the amazing and talented career woman whose voice is a constant companion through the radio waves on Capital FM and an amazing actress on the new hip TV series ‘Beneath the lies’. Not to mention her appearance on African and international platforms as a brilliant Television host and MC.
She is known mostly for her killer looks which several guys wish their girlfriends had and the girls just want to be her. Be it on radio or on stage emceeing an event or just on your TV screen one thing is beyond doubt.
Flavia Tumusime is a talented woman. Chano8 finally caught with her at Capital for a quick walk through her career growth in the industry.
She is an only child born to a well off family, went to St Thereza Kisubi, Kitante Secondary School then Makerere university business school for her bachelor’s in International business then finally Cavendish University.
Her appearance on TV came on earlier in her life in 2002. She was 14 years old when she joined Teens Club, she says being an only child in day school left her with a lot of free time on her hands which often left her bored. Even after missing a number of school auditions for the show, she nailed it with her charm and bubbly fun character.
To her it was not a serious career then just a way to keep the boredom away. It did not conflict with her studies seeing as she had to maintain certain grades to stay on the show, this gave her parents some comfort and also kept her working hard at both school and the teenage show. Since then she has been in love with television.
When describing her experiences she refers to it as fun and educational too. In 2005 at the age 17 under the mentorship of the late Bangi and Roger Mugisha is when she realized it was time to make some career decisions and figure out what she wanted to do. She then left television for Radio.
