You must have landed on a trending video clip of a young rapper doing a freestyle rap about Coronavirus in a living room. Well, that’s none other than Stone Age the new young female hip hop rap sensation who seems to have a big future in the rap game.
The 9-year old young rapper whose real name is Kirabo Tyra, burst on the music scene mid last year after several video clips of her doing freestyle rap made rounds on social media. She decided to follow in the footsteps of fellow young rapper Freshkid by taking it to the next level and recording some of her songs. The two belonged to De Texas Camp before it split up.
Her song ‘Kyekimu’ is already receiving airplay in some stations and picking up so fast. And with the release of the music video, it is definitely bound to hit charts across the country very soon.
‘Kyekimu’ is the first song off her upcoming album ‘The Rise Of Stone Age’. It is both inspirational and educative as it encourages young people who still have a chance to attend school, not to give up so easily. “Nweza Kalaamu, Topowa mwana…As we all know, education is the Key to Success, and every parent would wish their kids to succeed in life” She told Chano8.
It was produced by Nase Avatar and the video was directed by Edy Kasawuli and basically showcases the importance of education, hard work and discipline in life.
The LugaFlow Princess also referred to as the Hip Hop goddess in the rap circles, has also received massive acclaim from established rappers like GNL Zamba and St. Nelly-sade. Her efforts have also not gone unnoticed by awards organisers as she also received three nominations at this year’s 256 Hip Hop Awards in the category of ‘Rookie Of The year’, ‘Female Rapper Of The Year and ‘Impact Track Of The Year’ for the song ‘Kyekimu’.
Watch out for a comprehensive feature on the fast-rising rapper coming soon on Chano8.
