Artistes work tooth and nail to write, sing and produce their songs and fans should really respect this fact and embrace their works or give them positive advises instead of sitting back and dissing their songs which in a way demoralises them. It is even worse when journalists do the same.
Talking about this, Dancehall artiste A Pass today came out and bashed Bukedde TV presenters of the Saturday morning show called ‘Akasengejja’ hosted by Priscillah Namanyanja and Batte Joseph (the self proclaimed music critic).
Akasengejja is music criticking TV show that flashes a light into Ugandan music. They talk about several things mainly the artistes’ loop holes and at the same time they award marks out of 10. Last Saturday they dissed some of A Pass’ songs and since then the ‘Tuli Kubigere’ has been silent until today when he retaliated.
In a twitter video he shared, A Pass “I heard of these guys who claim to be music critics, please don’t review my song anymore.” A Pass warmed.
Meanwhile, A Pass raised his complaint a few days after fellow artiste Eddy Kenzo raised the same complaint of Journalist dissing him and his music. Kenzo was bitter at Dembe FM’s Talk and Talk show presenters Kasuku and Eddy Sendi for tarnishing his name in a disrespecting manner on top of rubbishing his songs.
Reviewing artistes and their songs would not be a problem but the way these presenters do it is in a way unprofessional and if you have watched that ‘Akasengejja’ show or listened in to Dembe FM’s Talk and Talk show, you will testify to this.
