The entertainment industry was full of excitement when it was announced that music legends Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone were on the verge of battling on one stage later this year. The excitement was because they have never battled before and mainly because they have been the leading two Ugandan artistes for years.
However, this news lost steam when it was later revealed that the two camps had failed to reach an agreement.
We later got to know that Bebe Cool had asked Ug Shs 250 million while Chameleone was asked 200 million. In total with out all the other expenses, it would cost the promoter Shs 500 million, much more than the amount invested in the previous music battles between Bebe and Bobi Wine, Chameleone and Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool with Goodlyfe.
However Balaam, the lead promoter has assured music fans that the battle is still on and will perhaps happen next year. “The battle has to go on. We need to clear out who really is a legend in this industry,” Balaam said.
If it happens, it will be the biggest music battle between great artistes in East Africa and a lot will be on stake as they both claim to be the biggest in East Africa. Their fight for supremacy dates way back during the time they made their debut in the music industry.
Meanwhile this all comes in after Bebe Cool annouced his 2018 concert date which is on 3rd August 2018 at Kampala Serena Hotel. The concert is called ‘The Golden Hearts’
