Sad news befell the Kadongo Kamu music genre and the entire country at large early yesterday after renowned female Kadongo Kamu singer Immaculate Nabiryo lost her battle to cancer at Mulago hospital. She is famously known for songs like ‘Nfunda Nomwavu’ which shined more light for her in the year 2010 among many other songs.

News reaching us is that the late will be laid to rest today at her home in Bubondo located in Bukomansimbi district at 2 Pm. According to media reports, the Chairperson Kadongo Kamu Singers Association (KKSA) DJ Kikofiira said after the death of the late Nabiryo. “We have lost another member. It is a sad moment.”
Immaculate Nabiryo was the sister to the late and veteran Kadongo Kamu singer Herman Basufde (RIP) who passed on in 1997 in a motor accident. She has been doing music from the late 90’s and did a collabo song dubbed ‘Ebiiso’ with famous comedian and radio presenter Kato Lubwama.
