‘Ndi Muna Uganda’ is a Luganda language word meaning ‘I am a Ugandan’. It also happens to be a song’s title by Ghetto President Bobi Wine released late last year. Just like all artistes shoot their songs’ videos after the audio release, Bobi also took a step ahead in shooting the video.
Although everything from the costumes, decor, shooting and editing was complete, today morning some unknown thugs broke into Sir Lawrence’s studio, the video’s director, and walked away with every single gadget from his Nyanama – Kampala based studio. Chano8 contacted Sir Lawrence for a comment and he had this to say.
“I don’t know the exact time they broke into the studio, but I came to the studio like at around 3:20 am today morning and I found the studio’s door open. They didn’t only steal Bobi Wine’s project but also took everything of mine.”
“There were many projects including Dr Hilderman’s and other artistes’. Bobi gave me that project last year, we planned for it and we finally began the work. Everything was done but the fools set me back today” Lawrence added.
“All we’re left with are the still pictures taken on set. I can’t imagine redoing it, it was very expensive and very hectic.” Disappointed Bobi Wine wrote on his facebook page.
‘Ndi Muna Uganda’ is a song Bobi Wine sang with his long time friend and Fire Base Crew fellow member Nubian Li. They have worked on several others song which include, ‘Kigwa Leero’, ‘Yegwe’ among many others.
