Having thrilled fans last year by bringing Rnb heavyweight Neyo, Coke Studio is at it again as they recently announced that Trey Songs will be performing live alongside African artists like Vanessa Mdee, Nyashinski, Stonebwoy and Neyma among others.
With his impending arrival highly anticipated by his fans, the soulful singer said, “I have always been committed to spending time on the continent of Africa yearly. My fans show me so much love when I’m there. I can’t wait to visit Kenya and partner with the Coca-Cola Company on this initiative. I am fortunate to be working with some of Africa’s biggest stars. I look forward to learning from them, making a lot of new friends as I discover what they have to offer.”
Mostly known for songs like Bottoms Up, Na Na, Slow Motion and Say aah among others, will definitely give the Coke Studio a much-needed boost. South African producer Maphorisa who is tasked with the duty of producing the song Trey Songs and other African stars will feature on said,
“I have had the opportunity to work with many great artists from all over the world and am very excited to be collaborating with such a talented artist. I believe that we will be making something truly special together and am happy that we are able to share our amazing African sounds with the world in this way.”
The 2016 edition of Coke Studio that kicked off on 27th August will always be aired every Saturday night for 13 weeks.
