Uganda Broadcasting Cooperation (UBC) decided to lay off almost all aged employees to give room to young and flexible people and among those laid off is Eseza Omutto.
But despite the others, Eseza Omutto was honoured by the staff who decided to give her an award and a certificate as a sign of appreciating her loyalty to the government owned TV station.
The 62 year old presenter started her career at UBC many years back before leaving for greener pastures at WBS TV which helped in branding her name.
She presented a programme called ‘Emitti Emitto’(Luganda for young generation) and this became the number one kids programme in Uganda but when WBS TV closed shop, she returned from where she started from and information had it that she was working as a receptionist.
Last year, Eseza got married to his long-time lover Eng. William Kigozi who works with Prime Radio.
