Uganda’s national football team, The Cranes have once again qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 after overcoming a resilient Cape Verde team at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
The only goal of the game was scored by KCCA striker Patrick Kaddu after 67minutes following a cross from Godfrey Walusimbi.
The East African side now makes it two in a row with the next tournament to be hosted next year in Cameroon.
Uganda Cranes will be playing at the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament for the seventh time since 1962. Saturday’s win confirmed Uganda Cranes finished on 13 points and the first country to book their slot in group L.
