The youngest of the Kirya brothers and the only one doing dancehall music, Elvis Kirya commonly known as Vampino was yesterday hospitalized with a severe backache.
The artiste said the problem had last happened several years back after he tried to act a savior when his first cut was robbed of a golden necklace and he tried to rescue it. He says the thugs hit him with a heavy stone and in the process, one of his bones in the vertebrae moved out of position. “I had a crush on this girl in 2004-5 there and one day they tried to rob her of her golden necklace while I was around en tried to prove I’m superman and the thugs hit me with a heavy stone on the head that cracked my neck.”
The “Love to dance” artiste also added that he used to perform with something round on his neck and he thought it had healed but it returned and this time round with a severe pain. “I thought it had healed yet its back in full action. It’s the baddest back pains ever coz doctors say one of my bones along the vertebrae moved out of position but it hasn’t been causing harm not until months back. Pray for me. See what my crush has gotten me to.” He concluded his post.
Vampino is brother to Maurice Kirya and Sabasaba and is a dancehall artiste famous for tracks like “I love you” alongside Goodlyf, Love to dance, kwekunyakunya and kyakala dance among others and was at one time among but dynamic duo of Benon and Vampos.
