Uganda’s DJ Aludah Set For BBA Hotshots, Releases ‘Unfamiliar’ Play List

Not all hope is lost at the Big Brother Hotshots after Uganda’s representatives were kicked out of the house. Esther Ankwankasa was shown the exit after just two weeks while former Miss Uganda Esther Natumbwe also known as Ellah survived so many evictions and finally got kicked out last weekend.

However, Just after Uganda’s Star artist Bebe Cool rocked the Big Brother Africa stage with his blockbuster hit “Love You Everyday,” another Representative is gearing up for a do at the same event.

Ladies and gentlemen forget the musicians this time we are sending a spin master ‘Africa’s Number 11’ who goes by the name DJ Aludah or rather Sir Aludah

The Award winning Sir Aluda is currently one of Uganda’s top DJ’s and not doing badly continentally either having been signed to Channel O and showcasing in many international events.

Aludah whose fans are excited and eagerly waiting to see him grace the Big Brother stage were however surprised by a play list (that he has reportedly compiled) that has been making rounds on social media with many top local artists’ songs missing on the list.

The list which looks incomplete contains mostly old school songs done when Uganda’s music Industry was just picking up in the region. It includes songs like ‘Wanchekecha’ by Tanzanian/Ugandan Saida Kaloli, ’Kisumuluzo’ by Toolman ‘Akakoma’ by Bobi Wine and Fred Sebatta’s ‘Walumbe’

Sir Aludah born James Aludah Mugume came to prominence after winning the Pilsner DJ’s Spin Master Challenge. He started his ‘Deejaying’ career alongside his brother John Kizza aka John Smart,  at the tender age of thirteen, at the Najjanankumbi-based Sax hotel mostly on computer.

He went to Salvation Army Nursery School, then joined Arya and later Walukuba West Primary in Jinja before sitting PLE at Rock View Primary School in Tororo.

Before joining Makerere University for bachelors in Information Technology, he went to four different secondary Schools. However he left University only after two weeks to pursue his DeeJaying dreams in Nairobi with HomeBoyz Music Technology Academy where he enrolled in Deejaying , Music Production and Sound Engineering courses in Jan 2010.

His moment to shine on a big global stage has arrived and come 5th December 2014, he will be turning tables at the Big Brother Hotshots show. We will keep you updated on what will transpire at the ‘dream Weekend’ in South Africa.
