Ugandan North American Association (UNAA) has established itself as one of the biggest platforms promoting Ugandan artistes. Every year, they send out invites to some of the entertainers they think have had a tremendous year and others they think can leave a memorable impact to go perform at the annual UNAA Causes Convention in Chicago
This years event had artistes like Geosteady, Fille, John Blaq, Naira Ali and Kenneth Mugabi as the headlining acts but information we are getting is that they have all been denied visas to the United States for this specific event.
According to a reliable source, the artistes were denied visas because they lacked the requirements to fly out.
However Geosteady’s manager didn’t confirm neither deny these rumors. Denis Blackman said that the organisers of UNAA told them to wait as the situation is still being handled.
Kenneth Mugabi on the other hand said he backed out of the deal immediately they failed to agree with the organisers.
Our efforts to reach others on the matter hit a dead end as their known phone numbers were all off.
It is now Janzi Band’s Ssewakiryanga alias Sewa Sewa and Jose Chameleone as the only confirmed musicians who will be performing at this event slated to kick off in Chicago from 30th August to September 3.
