NBS Television has announced that Dave J Kazoora will be working at the Naguru based TV station starting this month.
He will be hosting a new show named “Late Night” every Wednesday at 10PM in the Theatre, a place that was designed for live stage production.
Speaking on NBS Uncut show on Tuesday evening, Kazoora said he is excited to come back to Television and promised his fans that the show is going to be a lively one.
“We shall be having a live band where different artistes will be performing from the theatre with interview sessions,” he said
He added that for the mean time, they will first produce the show without the band because of the Covid 19 restrictions of not having many people in an enclosed space.
About the current style of TV production, Kazoora said that most entertainment shows of today have lost value because they are about abusing and invading on people’s privacy.
He said there is a huge content gap in Television today because TV presenters are focusing on being stars instead of entertaining their audiences.
“The presenters of these days are focusing more on being stars than doing their work and this trend has to change,” he noted.
According to him, this show is about bringing about a new vibe and viewers will learn, be inspired while getting entertainment all in one show.
The maiden show this week will be looking at celebrating the then, the now and the future of media in Uganda and viewers will walk away entertained.
Kazoora said that the idea of this show was initiated when he co-hosted the “Late Chat” Legends Edition show with Rasta Rob last year during the covid 19 lock down.
He said that NBS TV chief executive officer Kin Kariisa asked him to continue with the same show, an offer he turned down but promised to come up with a different concept of what he can do.
He rose to fame in early 2000 as a presenter of Jam Agenda on the now defunct WBS Television.
He studied his first business degree at Makerere University Business School and got his masters degree in TV production at the University of Salford Manchester, United Kingdom.
