The croak and rhyme event which was aimed at fundraising for a dormitory saw a lot of people turn up to support a good cause.
The event started out low key with performances from Sauti Ya Africa who showed off their amazing vocal capabilities, then up came Richy, who got some fans excited even though he performed about 3 songs.
When Jc Muyonjo took the stage little did the fans that there was a surprise in store until a 40 40 member walked on stage and put on a palpable performance. Their chemistry was their everyone to see, one could say they rehearsed because they were so in sync it’s no wonder they received massive ululations.
There were also performances from Ruyonga, Maro, The Mith, Nutty Neithan, Naava Grey, Joanita Kawalya, Benezeri, Maddox and Qute Kaye.
With Maddox closing the event, one couldn’t have hoped for a better ending, it’s like Jamaica was brought down to the museum because everybody was doing the famous Jamrock dance. Maddox’s performance was that crazy that some fans jumped on stage to just dance with the star while others specifically wanted to take selfies.
It’s really amazing to know that all the artists that performed last night did it for free, that’s how committed they are to making a difference in a child’s life. All the proceeds that 40 days over 40 smiles collected last night will go to building a dormitory for the Elohim school.
