When Guitar Maestro Charmant Mushaga Hosted Fans To A Get-Together

Sunday 4th February will go down as a memorable day for both guitar maestro Charmant Mushaga and his fans as he hosted them to an up close and personal get together at Kyaliwajala alongside his long-time friend and producer D-King.

The invite-only event was basically for the Ugandan-based Congolese guitarist and singer to mix and mingle with his fans, friends and colleagues as well as share the musical journey so far while sharing ideas for his upcoming projects which include launching of a new album.

He also used the opportunity to unveil his new brand ‘Charmant Guitarman’ which he hope to grow into bigger commercial entities in future like record labels and clothing lines. So far he already has beautiful branded T-Shirts that he sells at 25,000/- and with a lot of interest shown at this event promises to get even bigger and better. There are also CDs at 15,000/- each for the latest collection of some of his top songs.

“This was an idea that one of my close friends and best fans came up with. It’s something simple that I wanted to do for my fans and didn’t publicise it in the media. I just wanted my fans to share a special moment with me, my fellow artistes and those who appreciate my work.” Charmant told Chano8

On the guest list was Jazz king Isaiah Katumwa who was chief guest and gave a ‘key-note address’ and speech as he praised Charmant for being a disciplined artiste and keeping to his promise of developing his unique talent and skill that is rare in this parts of continent. He also said he is proud of the man Charmant commonly referred to as Shalma has developed into as he knows where he (Charmant) started from.

The event Charmant termed ‘meeting for meat’ where lots of nyama choma nd drinks were served also had other close friends and colleagues speak about their relationship with his and experiences of working with him so far like producer D-King, fellow Congolese Rogatien Milord and Easther.

Others in attendance were Sammy K, Ken Miziki who represented Mrs Elizabeth Mushabe of SMS ONE, church members from Watoto, Team Charmant Guitarman and a few media personalities. See more photos below,
