The few times we saw revellers being treated open bars was when we had socialites like the late Ivan Semwanga, Bad Black, Zari, Meddie Sentongo and SK Mbuga. Basing on the fact that they were all business men and women, one could understand where all the the money spent was coming from.
The chapter has changed as upcoming musician Umar Musoke alias Prince Omar proved that what the above mentioned socialites did, he can do better by treating his fans to an open bar while premiering his latest video to his song titled ‘Timaya’.
The premier party took place at at the Parliament Avenue based La Paronis and each reveller chose any drink of their choice all night long.
The man of the evening, Omar arrived at the venue a few minutes to midnight. He was escorted with monster bikes, a Range Rover and vintage car. His entry was enough for everyone to know that the moment they were all waiting for had come.
Clad in an Egyptian Prince outfit, Omar took to his reserved seat and watched people having a good time all on his bill.
After an hour, he got up in company of four muscular men (bouncers) surrounding him, and took to the stage. He thanked Ugandans for the love they have showed him despite being a new artiste and then performed the long awaited song as it was showing on giant screens.
Celebrities like Lydia Jazmine and Nikita Bachu and Anita Fabiola didn’t miss out on the party.
Prince Omar is mostly remembered after he was rumored to have been dating singer Lydia Jazmine last year and NBS TV presenter Zahara Toto earlier this year.
He is behind songs like ‘Sing For me’ Featuring Lydia Jazmine, ‘Kyoyoya’ featuring John Blaq and Daddy Andre, ‘Gyongenda’ and ‘Luwombo’ among others.
