WizKid Still Mourns Late Singer Radio, Almost Sheds Tears Before The Press

The last time Nigerian singer WizKid was in Kampala, Uganda was in December 2017 when he came to perform at a concert organised by Star Times and Face TV. He linked up with Radio and Weasel but unfortunately on 1st February 2018, Radio passed on  following head injuries he sustained from a bar brawl on 22nd January of thesame year

Wizzy as he sometimes calls himself was among the international artistes who joined Uganda in mourning the late singer, songwriter and vocalist, using social media as the platform.

On Thursday last week while WizKid was addressing the media at a press conference for the Dirty December concert which took place at Kololo Airstrip on the same day, he once again mourned the late Radio in a very emotional moment

This was after a journalist asked him to explain more about his friendship with the late ‘Neera’ singer. To our shock, the ‘Ojueleba’ singer during his explanation was lost for words for like a minute. As a matter of fact, he almost shed tears.

It could be clearly seen that WizKid was trying hard not to try and his own word this is what he had to say about Radio.

“Radio was my brother. am not gonna come up here and say things for clout. I just want y’all to know he was my brother and I loved him so much. We made music together, we spent some time together. It gets emotional talking about this. He was a great person.”

Earlier before he arrived in the country, Wizzy had dedicated the Dirty December concert to Radio through a tweet that read  “Uganda love!!! Can’t wait!! RIP my bro Radio! We miss u forever! This one for u”

On the other hand, WizKid gave his Ugandan fans a second dose of fun last Thursday at Kololo Airstrip and during his performance he shared stage with Weasel, the remaining half of the Radio and Weasel duo as they performed their collabo titled ‘Don’t Cry’
