At the 2016 Miss Uganda grand finale, our very own boss Mrs Elizabeth Mushabe was on the four man panel of judges who presided over the finals at an event that went down at Serena Hotel’s Victoria Hall.
With all the anticipation for the 2017’s edition, the organisers (Kezzi Entertainment) announced how they weren’t able to hold it over unknown reasons but in 2018, Uganda’s biggest beauty pageant is back, bigger and better with new sponsors on board.
As the auditions await to commence on 26th with the Western and Northern Uganda regions and be concluded on the 27th with the Eastern and Central regions, the organisers unveiled one of the patrons and judges ahead of the grand finale at Kampala Sheraton Hotel on the 10th of August
To our surprise, South African based, Ugandan socialite Zari the boss lady will be on the panel of this year’s Miss Uganda World edition. This announcement left Zari on cloud 9 as she took to her different social media platforms to let the whole world know
“Within every woman is the power to create, nurture and transform & I am proud to be a patron and judge of the @missugandaofficial 2018.Beauty with purpose is not only the motto for the Miss Uganda foundation but also a powerful tool for change. Uganda I’m looking forward to coming home and mentoring & inspiring the contestants that will participate in the #MissUG18 on the 10th of August 2018 at the @kampalasheraton” Zari posted on her Instagram account
This has come like a surprise for Zari to be chosen as one of the judges but our efforts to ask the organisers on why they chose Zari were futile as they had not yet replied to us by press time.
Apart from being a judge on the grand finale, Zari is expected to also do her role as the patron to the young girls who will make through the auditions to prepare them for the grand finale.
